One of the best dive sites near Phi Phi Islands. Excellent for cave diving
Koh Bida Nok is located just 2 km south of Koh Phi Phi Ley. The northern part of this limestone island drops down to around 32 - 35 meters, offering great wall diving on both sides of the island as you move further south, where the reef becomes more shallow, eventually finishing in the small lagoon at the southern tip of Koh Bida Nok. The dive site is breathtaking as it offers a wide range of diversity from sandy bottoms, sloping reefs, a great wall, small caves and large crevices and a great selection of both hard and soft corals. The island offers a very rich marine life - blacktip, nurse, bamboo and leopard sharks, lionfish, schools of snapper, hunting jackfish, nudibranchs, sweetlips, barracuda, moray eels, banded sea snakes, and turtles. Huge numbers of Yellow and Two Spot Snapper have called this island home. Hundreds of these fishes make stunning formations keeping divers amazed during a dive. The wall is covered by superb Sea Fans dancing in the current. This diving spot has strong currents and is a cave diving, therefore is suitable for experienced divers with required certifications.
